From Lawn to Vegetable Garden - A Learning Experience - Spring 2011
In 2011, I was inspired to convert my front lawn to a flower and vegetable garden. It was an experience that was great for the body, mind, and soul. I also made time to give my mother flowers from the garden whenever possible.
In the weeks to come, I will continue to add planting and care information about the flowers, plants, shrubs and vegetables in this exhibit, as well as articles from the gardening gurus who inspired me, and recipes from my friends. I may even share a few of my own.
Many of the gardening tools seen in the photo at the left and throughout the collection were purchased from Frank's Nursery and Crafts (which sadly went out of business) and Gardener's Supply Company.
